The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a government sanctioned test that is an affirmations prerequisite for most doctoral level colleges in the United States. Created and directed by Educational Testing Service (ETS) in 1949, the exam plans to gauge verbal thinking, quantitative thinking, systematic written work, and basic intuition aptitudes that have been gained over a drawn out stretch of time and that are not identified with any particular field of study.
